HISTORY AT A GLANCE: Baba Oyadare Ranson III (Music Producer / MC) and Wade Colwell - Sandoval (Teacher / MC) founded Funkamentalz
in 1997 as a response to the academic disengagement and discouragement experienced by students in their Tucson, Arizona community.
As Funkamentalz, Wade and Ranson composed an album called Education By Any Beats Necessary which included topics such as Languages,
Science, History, Math, Economics and Geography. Over the last decade, Funkamentalz has toured nationally and internationally
sharing music, stories, friendship, culture, vision, and learning experiences with thousands of wonderful people. We thank
you for collaborating with us to help catalyze this movement based in relationships and creativity.
